The Parole Officer

Simon Garden (Steve Coogan), a parole officer, is framed for murder by a crooked police chief and has one way to clear his name. He has to recruit the former clients he once supervised, people now living law-abiding lives, and talk them back into crime to recover the evidence. John Duigan builds the comedy on a man whose job was keeping people straight, now asking for their help in breaking the law.
