The Passenger
“I used to be somebody else...but I traded him in.”
David Locke (Jack Nicholson), a journalist covering a civil war in Chad, is getting nowhere with the story. In a hotel there he finds the body of a stranger who looks enough like him to pass, and he takes the dead man's name. Antonioni follows him through the open country of his new life with a camera that moves slowly and holds its shots long past the point of comfort.
