“No Faith Without Blood”

Darkly Noon (Brendan Fraser) was raised inside a strict religious sect, and he arrives alone at the isolated home of Callie (Ashley Judd), who lives there while her husband is away. Philip Ridley keeps the house and the forest around it close and airless as Darkly's faith collides with the sight of her. The film is about what happens when a belief built on shame meets desire and has nowhere to put it.
