The Passion of the Christ

Jesus (Jim Caviezel) moves toward Jerusalem knowing what waits for him there. Maria (Maia Morgenstern) follows her son through his arrest and trial, watching the suffering unfold in real time, her face pressed against the stones of the city. Gibson renders their final hours together as an act of witness, where a mother's presence becomes the deepest form of love.
