The Past

In Paris, Ahmad (Ali Mosaffa) lands after four years away to finish the divorce from his wife, Marie (Bérénice Bejo). He is meant to stay a few days, but the house is tense, her daughter Lucie (Pauline Burlet) barely speaks to her, and Samir (Tahar Rahim) is already part of the household. Asghar Farhadi shows how a family keeps going on what it has left unsaid, long after the marriage that made it has ended.
