The Patience Stone

“She achieved her independence by telling stories filled with forbidden secrets”

A woman (Golshifteh Farahani) sits beside her husband (Hamid Djavadan), who lies comatose from a bullet in the neck while the war goes on outside. His fellow fighters and his own brothers have left them there. Atiq Rahimi keeps her in that one room, and she begins to say aloud the things she could never say to him awake. Each day she keeps watch over his body, and her voice grows less careful.
