The Patsy

“If you were the little "Patsy" of the family, with your good looking sister getting all the breaks, what would you do about it?”

In the Harrington house, the younger daughter Patricia (Marion Davies) is dowdy and overlooked, ruled by her imperious mother Ma (Marie Dressler) and a selfish older sister. She has fallen hard for her sister's boyfriend, Tony Anderson (Orville Caldwell), and sets about getting him to notice her. King Vidor keeps the comedy broad, though the tenderness sits in Patricia's longing for a boy who has never looked her way.
