The Pearl of Death

“The master minds tackle the master crimes!”

In 1944 London, the Borgia Pearl arrives in the city with some help from Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone), a gem that has brought murder to its owners since the days of the Borgias. Then it is stolen, through an error of Holmes's own, and the killings start, each victim found with a snapped spine among smashed china. Roy William Neill leaves Holmes and Dr. Watson (Nigel Bruce) at the center, the detective chasing a thief he feels he armed.
