“Trust one, fear the other.”

Leah Vaughn (Sanaa Lathan) has a lobbying career she's good at and a boyfriend of years, Dave King (Morris Chestnut), who won't commit to the marriage and family she wants. After the breakup she meets Carter Duncan (Michael Ealy), who is charming and attentive. David M. Rosenthal follows the two of them as Carter's temper shows and Leah ends it, only for him to refuse to let go.
