The Phantom of the Opera
“ROBERT ENGLUND Was "Freddy." Now he's the... Phantom OF THE OPERA!”
Christine Day (Jill Schoelen) is an aspiring opera singer whose audition leaves her transported from the present day to Victorian London. There she falls under the eye of Erik Destler (Robert Englund), a reclusive, disfigured composer who wants to make her a star. Dwight H. Little, adapting Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel, gives it a gorier edge, and a rival singer, La Carlotta (Stephanie Lawrence), crosses the same stage Christine is being pushed toward.
