The Photograph

A photograph turns up in a safe-deposit box after the death of the celebrated photographer Christina Eames (Chanté Adams), and her estranged daughter Mae (Issa Rae) has no idea who is in it. Stella Meghie follows Mae back into her mother's early years, where the journalist Michael Block (LaKeith Stanfield) is already asking questions of his own. Two generations of Eames women are bound by what each chose to keep from the other.
