The Photographer of Mauthausen

“Based on an incredible real story”

From 1943 to 1945, Francesc Boix (Mario Casas), a Spanish prisoner at the Mauthausen-Gusen camp, is put to work in the SS Photographic Service, where Ricken (Richard van Weyden) oversees the images the guards want kept. With Valbuena (Alain Hernández), Boix begins hiding thousands of negatives that record what the Nazis are doing there. Mar Targarona keeps the camera close and the frame cramped, so the danger of every roll feels as near as the man holding it.
