The Pink Panther

“Pardon his French.”

A poisoned dart drops the coach of the France football team at the end of a match, and his enormous ring with the Pink Panther diamond is gone. Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Kevin Kline) wants the credit for the arrest, so he hands the case to Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin), the worst inspector on the force, with Ponton (Jean Reno) sent along to watch him. Shawn Levy builds the film around a man who takes himself seriously and is wrong about nearly everything.
