“Buckle Your Swash and Jolly Your Roger for the Funniest Rock 'N Rollickin' Adventure Ever!”

Mabel Stanley (Kristy McNichol), a modern teenager, chases after her friends when they leave her behind on a boat trip, and is knocked unconscious on an island. She dreams her way into a world of pirates, sisters and a Major-General, loosely drawn from Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. Ken Annakin stages it as a musical, with Mabel meeting Frederic (Christopher Atkins), the young man she falls for.
