“Those who conquer the sea will have it all!”

In 1388, as the Joseon Dynasty is about to be founded, a Chinese envoy carries the Ming Emperor's Royal Seal across the sea until a giant whale swallows it whole. A reward goes to whoever brings it back, and Yeo-wol (Son Ye-jin) takes her pirate crew after it while Jang Sa-jung (Kim Nam-gil) leads his mountain bandits the same way. Lee Seok-hoon sets the two gangs against each other, and whoever reaches the whale first claims the prize.
