The Pirates of Penzance

Frederic (Rex Smith) was apprenticed to a pirate as a child because of a mix-up over one word, and on his twenty-first birthday the indentures run out and he walks free. Ashore he meets Mabel (Linda Ronstadt), one of Major-General Stanley's many daughters, and the two decide to marry. Wilford Leach keeps the songs and the swordplay coming, though the date on Frederic's birth is not quite what everyone has been counting on.
