The Pit

“Jamie wouldn't kill anyone… unless Teddy told him to!”

Jamie Benjamin (Sammy Snyders) is twelve, and he has found a deep pit in the woods full of man-eating creatures he calls Trogs. At school the other kids pick on him, the neighbors think he's strange, and at home his parents hardly look up, so the pit starts to look like a way to even things out. Lew Lehman's film, shot in Wisconsin, is about a lonely kid who has been ignored for so long that feeding the people who ignore him begins to feel like being noticed.
