The Pornographers

In 1966 Japan, Subuyan Ogata (Shoichi Ozawa), a former Buddhist monk, shoots two cheap skin flicks a day and lives above a hairdresser's shop with Haru Matsuda (Sumiko Sakamoto) and her two teenage children. Shōhei Imamura follows his days of low-budget shoots, nervous distance from the yakuza, and a household that seems built around him. Subuyan keeps his business and his family running together, until Haru catches him looking at her daughter.
