The Postman

“The year is 2013. One man walked in off the horizon and hope came with him.”

Nobody in the scattered towns of the former United States knows what the stranger with the mule wants, and he won't say. He is the Postman (Kevin Costner), a drifter who trades Shakespeare for a meal in 2013, until a mail carrier's uniform turns him into a symbol of hope. Kevin Costner directs him leading the mule down empty roads, no highway left, only a lone figure and the animal.
