(1981)Directed by Bob Rafelson122 min · RCrime, Romance, Drama, Thriller
“You can get away with anything. Once.”

A drifter named Frank Chambers (Jack Nicholson) stops at a roadside lunch wagon and cannot say what keeps him there. Cora Papadakis (Jessica Lange), the owner's wife, is part of it, and the affair they begin leaves her husband Nick (John Colicos) with a plan hanging over him. Bob Rafelson, working from a David Mamet script, shows two people who take what they want and then have to live inside it.
