The Power of One

(1992)Directed by John G. Avildsen127 min · PG-13Drama
“An exhilarating epic of a triumph of the heart.”

In South Africa in the years before and during the Second World War, a young English boy known as PK (Guy Witcher) is bullied at boarding school for his family's politics. The one person who treats him kindly is Geel Piet (Morgan Freeman), a prisoner who teaches him to box with the line "fight with your fists and lead with your heart." John G. Avildsen follows PK into young manhood (Stephen Dorff), and Freeman stands at the edge of the ring, hands wrapped.
