The Prestige

“Are you watching closely?”

Two stage magicians in Victorian London, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale), are each trying to build a better teleportation trick than the other. Christopher Nolan sets their rivalry among assistants, rehearsal rooms and a mentor, Cutter (Michael Caine), who knows how the tricks work. Both men give up more and more to be the one the audience believes.
