The Prince and the Pauper

“Mark Twain's Immortal Classic !”

In Tudor England, two boys are born on the same day, one in a palace and one in the slums. Years later, young Tom Canty (Billy Mauch) sneaks into the palace garden and meets the prince, and the two trade clothes before the guards arrive. William Keighley films the exchange for its fairy-tale oddness, with Tom in royal robes and Edward, thrown out as an urchin, standing in rags at the gate.
