The Prisoner of Second Avenue

“...and you think you've got problems.”

Mel Edison (Jack Lemmon) wants his old life back: the job he held for years, the routine, the sense that he knows where he stands. Then he is let go in the middle of a New York heat wave, and he is stuck at home in the apartment with his wife Edna (Anne Bancroft). Melvin Frank directs Neil Simon's script, and with Mel out of work and the city pressing in, his marriage and his nerves are what is now at risk.
