“Asia's top international comedy star creates the world's funniest private-eye.”

In 1976 Hong Kong, the Manix Private Detective Agency is run by Wong Yuk-see (Michael Hui Koon-man), who solves cases alongside fellow detective Lee Kwok-kit (Sam Hui). Michael Hui wrote, directed and starred, with his brothers Sam and Ricky in the cast, and John Woo and Sammo Hung worked behind the scenes. The film treats detective work as a trade run by working people, with a boss, a payroll and a crowd of customers.
