The Prize of Peril

François Jacquemard (Gérard Lanvin) is a contestant on a live television game in which one man is hunted by killers for a cash prize, and he has signed up knowing he might not survive it. Yves Boisset follows him out into the chase while Frédéric Mallaire (Michel Piccoli), the show's host, narrates every move to the viewers at home. Each hour Jacquemard stays alive raises the prize, and the people hunting him are paid to make sure he never collects.
