The Professional

“Never leave vengeance to amateurs.”

Commandant Joss Beaumont (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is a French secret agent sent to kill the president of Malawi, only for Paris to change its policy and hand him over to the men he was sent to find. Georges Lautner follows him out of a Malawian prison and back to France two years later, with Njala's official visit to Paris days away. Beaumont still means to finish the contract, and he has a few scores to settle with his own service.
