The Promotion

“Two guys. One job. No rules.”

Doug Stauber (Seann William Scott) is an assistant manager at a grocery store, living with his wife Jen (Jenna Fischer) and counting on a promotion to move them toward the life they want. Then Richard Wehlner (John C. Reilly) transfers in from Canada, also an assistant manager, also after the same job. Steven Conrad writes both men as polite and sincere, and Doug keeps showing up for the job that might be his.
