The Protector

“Now, New York has a new weapon - A cop with his own way of fighting crime.”

In 1985 New York, Billy Wong (Jackie Chan) is a cop who has just lost his partner to a gunman during a robbery. His new partner, Danny Garoni (Danny Aiello), is beside him at a fashion show when a wealthy man's daughter is kidnapped, and the trail leads the two of them to Hong Kong and a drug kingpin named Mr. Ko (Roy Chiao). James Glickenhaus pairs them as an uneasy team, Billy quiet and precise, Danny loud and impatient with him.
