The Proud Princess

Princezna Krasomila (Alena Vránová) wants a husband no one can give her, because she finds every suitor beneath her. Young King Miroslav (Vladimír Ráž) is turned away too, so he takes a job as a gardener at her castle and hides who he is. Bořivoj Zeman adapts Božena Němcová's fairy tale, and what grows between the two of them is a slow, patient fondness.
