The Purge

“One night a year, all crime is legal.”

For one night a year, the government lets every crime go unpunished for twelve hours, and a country with crowded prisons calls that policy. James Sandin (Ethan Hawke) has sealed his house for it, locking the doors and shutters while his wife Mary (Lena Headey) and their kids wait inside. James DeMonaco keeps the family close to the front door, where a stranger's bloodied hands are pressed against the steel.
