The Pursuit of D.B. Cooper

“Who says you can't take it with you?”

Gruen (Robert Duvall) is a dogged investigator who takes on the case of the man who hijacked a Boeing 727 in 1971, collected $200,000, and jumped into the dark with a parachute. Roger Spottiswoode imagines Cooper (Treat Williams) as someone who planned for the landing, the mountains and the long disappearance afterward. Beneath the chase sits a plain question of whether one man can walk out of his own life and stay gone.
