Flavio Mogherini follows his slow, methodical inquiries alongside the story of Glenda Blythe (Dalila Di Lazzaro), a ferry attendant who marries one lover while still seeing the others. Timpson keeps working at the case, the pale ash of the beach a thing he cannot stop returning to.
