The Pyx

“See It...Find Out What It Means!”

Dt. Sgt. Jim Henderson (Christopher Plummer) is a Montreal police detective assigned to the death of Elizabeth Lucy (Karen Black), a heroin-addicted prostitute found after a fall from a building. Harvey Hart follows his inquiry into how she died and into the evidence that points toward a murderous devil cult. The title names the pyx, the small Catholic container for sacramental bread, and the film keeps returning to it.
