“You Can't Escape It!”

Professor Bernard Quatermass (Brian Donlevy) fires Britain's first manned rocket into space and loses it from radar, until it comes roaring back and crashes in a farmer's field. Only one of the three men aboard is still inside, Victor Carroon (Richard Wordsworth), and he cannot speak while his body and mind change by the hour. Val Guest builds the pressure around a hospital room, where Quatermass must learn what has come home before it gets out.
