The Quick and the Dead

Duncan McKaskel (Tom Conti) and his wife Susanna (Kate Capshaw) have come west to Wyoming in 1876 hoping to settle, only to find outlaws already working the trail. The one man who might get them through is Con Vallian (Sam Elliott), a frontiersman in a country where the gun is the only law. Robert Day films the dry plains in sun-bleached light, and Elliott stands in the glare, his hat low over his face.
