The Quiet Family

“The ruthless comedy.”

Dae-goo (Park In-hwan) and his wife Soon-rye (Na Moon-hee) buy a lodge in a remote hiking area and move in their grown sons and daughter. The first guest to check in kills himself in his room, so the family buries him quietly rather than lose the business before it opens. Kim Jee-woon, in his first feature, keeps the deadpan going as more guests arrive and the family keeps digging, each of them too stubborn to admit this is no way to run a lodge.
