The Racket
Nobody in the city can touch Nick Scarsi (Louis Wolheim), a mob boss whose cruelty is as well known as his name. Lewis Milestone, in this 1928 silent adapted from Bartlett Cormack's Broadway play, sets him against Police Captain James McQuigg (Thomas Meighan), a cop who has stopped following the department's rules. McQuigg takes the case as a private fight, and he has no plans to back down.
