The Rage in Placid Lake

“For anyone who ever felt different... your hero has arrived.”

In suburban Australia, seventeen-year-old Placid Lake (Ben Lee) has grown up the child of two neurotic, free-loving hippies. Tony McNamara follows him as he cuts his hair, takes a job at an insurance agency, and sets out to be as ordinary as possible, to his parents' horror. Gemma Taylor (Rose Byrne) is the one who watches him do it, while Sylvia (Miranda Richardson) and Doug (Garry McDonald) look on from the kitchen, helpless.
