The Railway Man

“Revenge is never a straight line.”

Eric (Colin Firth) is a quiet railway enthusiast who cannot say what happened to him as a young soldier on the Death Railway, and his new wife Patti (Nicole Kidman) can only watch him go silent. A fellow veteran, Finlay (Stellan Skarsgård), knows more than he will tell her, and one name in particular is enough to unsettle Eric. Jonathan Teplitzky moves between the older Eric and Young Eric (Jeremy Irvine), setting the wartime scenes against the later years.
