“Ten students, two teachers, and a thousand dreams”

Ten children turn up on the first day at a school in Gantong Village on Belitung, an island of farms and tin mines, and the school will close if it doesn't reach ten students. Ibu Muslimah (Cut Mini) and Pak Harfan (Ikranagara) teach them with almost nothing to work with. Riri Riza follows the class as an ensemble, and the film's idea is plain: where a child's start is poor, a teacher who believes in them is what gives them hopes for the future.
