The Rays and Shadows

Jean Luchaire (Jean Dujardin), a French newspaperman, and Otto Abetz (August Diehl) share a vision of peace between their nations. When France falls under occupation, their friendship fractures as Jean rises to power in the new press while Otto becomes the Reich's ambassador. His daughter Corinne (Nastya Golubeva Carax) watches the two men she knows remake themselves into figures she no longer recognizes, the light in her father's study growing colder each evening.
