The Red House

“OF THIS MAN...AND THE GIRL WHO LIVED IN "THE RED HOUSE"...people spoke only in whispers”

On a sprawling farm property, Pete Morgan (Edward G. Robinson) and his sister Ellen (Judith Anderson) are raising their adopted daughter Meg (Allene Roberts). The woods on their land hold an abandoned red farmhouse, and Pete has spent years keeping everyone away from it. Delmer Daves follows Pete as a classmate of Meg's, Nath (Lon McCallister), takes a job on the farm, and Pete's grip on his secret begins to tighten.
