The Red Turtle

A man washed up on a deserted tropical island wants only one thing, to get off it, and he builds raft after raft to try. Michael Dudok de Wit tells it with no dialogue at all, leaving the sea, the crabs, the birds and the turtles to fill the island with sound. Each time the man pushes out past the shore into open water, a red turtle is there.
