The Ref

“They might be his hostages but what they're doing to this guy is criminal.”

Gus (Denis Leary), a cat burglar on the run from the police on Christmas Eve, breaks into the house of Caroline (Judy Davis) and Lloyd Chasseur (Kevin Spacey) and takes them hostage. He expected silence and a quick getaway. What he gets is a couple who snipe at each other without a pause, and relatives due at the door for dinner, so every hour Gus stays is another hour he can be caught.
