The Refrigerator

“No survivors. Only leftovers.”

Eileen Bateman (Julia McNeal) and her husband Steve (Dave Simonds) just want a place of their own in New York, and a cheap apartment in a bad neighborhood is what they can get. The only thing they like about it is the refrigerator, which turns out to be the one thing in the building that wants them. Nicholas Jacobs makes it all on a late-night budget, with Steve standing in the kitchen, the white door shut, and a low hum he can't stop listening to.
