The Reincarnation of Peter Proud

“Suppose you knew who you had been in your previous life. Where you had lived...whom you had loved and how you had died. What then?”

In 1975, a college professor named Peter Proud (Michael Sarrazin) keeps waking from the same nightmares, flashbacks to a life he has never lived. They pull him toward a town he has never seen, where he finds the wife of the man he seems to have been. J. Lee Thompson turns the search into a spiral of questions with no answers. Whether we return after death is what the film wants you to sit with.
