The Return of Godzilla

“Breaking 30 years of silence comes the anticipated-worldwide latest "Godzilla" work!”

Goro Maki (Ken Tanaka), a reporter, is the only crew member left aboard a fishing boat after a giant creature rises from the sea and attacks it. He recognizes the creature as Godzilla, but the Japanese government suppresses the story while the United States and the Soviet Union circle with their own threats. Koji Hashimoto, working with effects director Teruyoshi Nakano, stages the return as a reboot that sets aside every sequel after the 1954 original.
