The Return of Swamp Thing

“Why can't men be more like plants?”

Animals in a Louisiana swamp are being turned into monsters, and the trail leads to the laboratory of Dr. Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan). Abby Arcane (Heather Locklear) arrives and gets pulled into his work, while Swamp Thing (Dick Durock) comes out of the water to find her. Jim Wynorski keeps the tone lighter than the 1982 original, and the story rests on a simple question of what a man will do to the living things in his hands.
