The Return of the King

Frodo Baggins (Orson Bean), a small Hobbit with a ring he cannot put down, is still walking toward Mount Doom, where it has to be destroyed. His friend Samwise Gamgee (Roddy McDowall) goes with him, while Gandalf (John Huston) and the rest hold off Sauron's armies in a last battle. Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin Jr. made it as a hand-drawn, sung television film, picking up Tolkien's third volume after a brief recap of the first two.
